Welcome to kyrie.com,
a site for those who seek to remain in that space between the
outer and inner life, between being active and contemplative, and to In the words of T.S. Eliot (Little Gidding V, Four Quartets, 1943)
Why kyrie.com? Kyrie is the Greek word for "Lord". It will be familiar to those old enough to remember the Latin Mass and the penitential verses "Kyrie Eleison, Christe Eleison, Kyrie Eleison" (Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy). It is interesting to note that these Greek words were a part of the old Latin Mass. Kyrie is the name of this website because this site is about the principal message of Jesus and at the heart of all the world religions, a call to transformation, a revolutionary turning to God however we know and name Being, and grounded in the knowledge of who we truly are.
