MY PERSONAL DETAILS

My name is Rob Moore.

I was born in Sydney in 1949. I am Catholic but hope I am open to all religions and their truths.

I have lived in Canberra, Australia, the national capital, since 1973.

My original qualifications were in geophysics but I now work as a project manager.

I am married and have seven children and nearly ten grandchildren.

I enjoy music (especially Blues and Gospel).

I like to fish.

I like to walk, especially in places I have not been before.

I like to take time out to observe and breath in our beautiful world.

I enjoy reading the spiritual masters, the mystics and all who write on the inner journey. I  have read most recently a number of authors and saints from the Eastern Orthodox tradition on Prayer of the Heart.

I practice Centering Prayer, the prayer described in the "Cloud of Unknowing" and one of the forms of Prayer of the Heart .

I am a graduate of the Australian Catholic University with an MA in theology majoring in personal spirituality and spiritual accompaniment.

I practice as a spiritual companion (often called spiritual director) and spiritual mentor.
